Review of the edition of the memoirs of the historian and archivist Karel Kazbunda, describing his work in Vienna in the years 1919-1923 in connection with the implementation of the archival separation of the Czechoslovak Republic from Austria. Although the reviewed book captures a relatively short part of Karel Kazbunda's life, they are very important not only in terms of the history of Czech archiving but also in terms of the history of international relations.
