SOCIAL WORKERS, STRESS, AND SELF-CARE

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2021

Abstract

The text focuses on professional self-care of social workers. It is integral part of their practice, where social workers concentrate on both personal and professional care of themselves as a process of exploring areas of congruence and incongruence between themselves and the structure and culture of the organisations in which they work.

Organisational culture and organisational climate are important yet often overlooked factors that impact on ethically competent social work practice.
