Propaganda and Censorship : Journalism in Dvůr Králové nad Labem during the Great War in 1914-1918

Abstract

This work describes journalism in Dvůr Králové nad Labem during the First World War in the context of pre-war and war conditions in the Czech lands. A description of the general situation is followed by a breakdown of wartime specifics (wartime propaganda, censorship and economic difficulties).

The focal point is the publishing of three Dvůr Králové's newspapers, which were published during the First World War, and the fates of their editors.
