Abstrakt
Generous Patrons, Loyal Client is an international workshop dedicated to the topic of patronage across the societies in Antiquity that held in Prague (Faculty of Arts, Charles University) in 2017 (September 4-5). The main aim of the workshop was to provide scholars from various disciplines with the opportunity to discuss the typologies of sources for patronage coming from a wide range of societies and the types of traces which this important relationship leaves in them. It specifically dealt with four main fields of interest:
1. general questions related to the existence of patronage in a variety of societies including Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome or Levant;
2. patronage of artists and craftsmen;
3. royal patronage;
4. patronage in the international relations.
