Abstract
Critical review of the novel "1352, in flames", translated by Tomáš Havel and published by Argo in 2018. The review provides an introduction to the author and the plot of the novel; it also extensively discusses the genre classification of the novel and polemics on how the author stands in the great competition of today's historical novels.
It also comments on the connection between the novel and the Czech context.
