The article is critical review of a monography of Juan Zamora (Ona byla centrem světa. Ženské postavy v prózách Josefa Škvoreckého. (Příbram: Pistorius & Olšanská, 2020), the need and importance of the knowledge of literary theory in the literary education is reflected as well.
