Towards a designed reconstruction of the General Pension Institute

Abstract

A building of the General Pension Institute, Prague, 1932-1934, is an extremely important monument of Czech Functionalism and is listed. Nonetheless, the private owners of the building have an intention to reconstruct the building and change its composition.

The paper analyses the arguments of them for this unsuitable action.
