On a bonus: The Prize of the Club for Old Prague for a new building in historical setting

Abstract

The paper sets a question whether a socially beneficial function of the new building in historical setting contributes to its formal quality, i. e. contextuality. The problem lies in a fact that the formal quality and beneficial funkction in architecture belong to different systems of values so that it is not easy to connect them.
