Concert in St. Havel Church, Prague - Old Town

Abstract

Gabriela Kubátová - concertmaster of the Notre Dame Chamber Orchestra, dir. Leona Stříteská On Wednesday, 15 September, a concert of the Notre Dame Choir and its orchestra took place in the Church of St.

Havel in Prague's Old Town. Baroque, romantic and contemporary compositions were performed.

The choral works were accompanied by several solo pieces by G. F.

Handel, A. Dvořák and M.

Lorenz. The highlight of the concert was Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria.

The Cantate Domino by Claudio Monteverdi, Cantique de Jean Racine by Gabriel Fauré, Our Father by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky from the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, Sanctus by Zdeněk Lukáš from the Requiem were also performed.

The church was co-organized by the parish of Our Lady before Týn, under which St. Havel Church falls.
