Abstract
The publication deals with the characteristics of a picture book of the wimmelbuch type, a brief description of a preschool child in connection with the development of reading skills, and the characteristics and use of a lapbook in kindergarten. The main part of the publication is a methodological material for the development of children's reading skills, encouraging children to perform a variety of tasks based on an integrative model of reading literacy.
The methodology shows the ways, inspires the child to read and the adult as a mediator of the book points out possible ways of working with R. S.
Berner's books Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Night.
