Abstract

The paper deals with the possibility of using bibliotherapy as a form of reeducation of children with dyslexia. It provides design and verification of the effectiveness of bibliotherapeutic material for children diagnosed with dyslexia aged 9 to 11 years. 13 children were included in the verification of the new method, in whom a bibliotherapeutic program focused on the development of impaired perceptual functions divided into five interventions was applied.

The evaluation of the program's functionality took place by several methods - testing perceptual functions before and after the program and by observing the course of the program. Bibliotherapy has proven to be a suitable method of reeducation of impaired perceptual functions in children with dyslexia.
