Abstract

Lecture dealing with the issue of black books (acta negra maleficorum), entries in them, legal institutes of confessions, torture and officials associated with it. The lecture also showed more generally and in specific cases what the so-called living law looked like - law in action in the Czech lands in the 16th and 17th centuries.
