Abstract
Recapitulation of heuristic possibilities in monitoring the historical occurrence of deciduous larch in Bohemia on the basis of written and linguistic sources. Emphasis is placed primarily on the oldest written mention of the name of the tree, its variants and territorial distribution on the basis of these historical written sources.
