13. Milevsko Biennial of Sacred Music - Vivat Mozart

Abstract

This year we commemorate the untimely death of W. A.

Mozart (1791) and DK Milevsko has prepared a varied selection of his works. The Dvořák Chamber Orchestra was supposed to be conducted by Jaroslav Vodńanský, but due to illness Martin Pešík took his place.

In addition to the Milevsky Mixed Choir, the excellent local clarinettist Jiří Krejčí also performed. Jana Sibera, soloist of the National Theatre Opera, included Mozart's arias Queen of the Night and Pamina from The Magic Flute, as well as arias of a spiritual character.

The program featured Mozart's Divertimento in D major KV 136, Little Night Music KV 525, "Alleluia" from "Exsultate, jubilate" and other pieces. Dvořák Chamber Orchestra, conductor Martin Pešík.
