The aim of the study is to identify and describe what areas of the Framework Curriculum in the Czech Republic are perceived by secondary school management to be suitable for the involvement of practitioners in teaching using the co-teaching method. In order to achieve the aim, one main question was chosen: In which areas do the selected grammar school principals think it would be best to involve practitioners in teaching using the co-teaching method? The study relies on a sequential research procedure, which consists of analysing the cross-cutting themes of the framework curriculum, identifying appropriate experts, and then reflecting and analysing them through semi-structured interviews with school principals.
The conceptual framework of the study consists of the theoretical definition of experts in teaching, the state of knowledge of the given issue, the specifics of teaching in grammar schools and a description of the framework curriculum and its possibilities. Specific attention is paid to the method of co-teaching and the cross-cutting themes of the Framework Curriculum, which are also the main research topics of this study.
