The Iraqi parliamentary elections 2021: an uncertain path in an unstable country?

Abstract

The Iraqi parliamentary election process has been monitored by several domestic, regional, and global actors. What is happening in Iraq, located in the very heart of the Middle East, can have a significant impact on regional political events.

This article presents the basic context of what is happening in Iraq and it presents several aspects of the Iraqi parliamentary elections that took place in October 2021.
