Distance learning due to Covid‑19 was a unique experience. Next to parent and teacher perspectives, the pupils’ perspective is also important.
The school lockdown in the autumn of 2020 and the return of the 1st and 2nd graders after five weeks created an opportunity to measure immediate impressions of distance learning. In our study, 357 children from 14 classes at 2nd grade were given a questionnaire.
The results showed an ambivalent evaluation. The negatives were absence of peers, insufficient structure and lower learning efficiency, the positives included closer contact with the family and flexibility.
