Reflection on practice is an essential component of continuing professional development and reflective and lifelong learning are integral components of competence. The study describes how reflection and its purpose for continuing professional development is currently conceptualised by occupational therapists in the Czech Republic.
The qualitative research methodology (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, IPA) was used for obtaining outcomes. Individual in-depth interviews were conducted.
The qualitative approach allows ascertaining which situations initiate reflection and foster learning from experience.
