Mikulecký, Jakub : Between Dissent, the Underground and the Grey Zone

Abstract

The review provides detailed information on Jakub Mikulecký's monograph Between Dissent, the Underground and the Grey Zone. Unofficial Bulgarian Literature 1944-1989. (Prague 2021), in particular, deals with the Bulgarian poetic responses to the self-immolation of Jan Palach in 1969 (the so-called Palachiads) and brings hitherto unknown additions to this issue.
