Abstract
The text focuses on the issue of social disadvantage and the effects that such disadvantage may have on children's education. The first - written in Czech - part of the publication focuses on the definition of the phenomenon of social disadvantage and the forms of support that can be used in the education of socially disadvantaged students.
The second part of the publication - written in English - deals specifically with the issue of segregation of Roma socially disadvantaged students in the Czech educational system.
