Abstrakt
This chapter identifies methodological issues that should guide further research on the revolutions of 1989. By carefully posing the basic questions - what, when and where was the revolution, who were the actors, why did it happen and how was it experienced - the chapter reveals how little we still know about the underlying elements and processes, and sets an agenda for the future.
