Extrarenal complications of granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) and microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) and their impact on the outcome of the patients

Abstrakt

In anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV) nephrologists pay, of course, a great deal of attention to renal involvement, but extrarenal involvement also has a significant impact on patient outcome. Recently published data from the French Vasculitis Study Group provide an interesting analysis of the influence of extrarenal manifestations on the course of microscopic polyangiitis (MPA).
