Abstract

The chapter provides an insight into the current state of the expert debate on the impact of the massive use of artificial intelligence on competition protection. In particular, it notes three aspects: the algorithmic collusion, the superdominance of the largest online platforms and the potential conflict between competition and data protection if the risk of monopolisation is addressed by large-scale data sharing with other market participants.
