Abstract

We report a case of a 13-year-old girl with acute nonlymphocytic leukenlia of FAB type M2 and a translocation t(6;9)(p23;q24). In relapse, an additional chromosomal anomaly, namely trisomy 13, was fotmd.

This case adds further evidence to the suggestion that the presence of a 6;9 transh)cation may be a specific event for this particular type of acute nonlymphocytic leukemia (ANLL).
