Abstract
The article reviews the interdisciplinary field of public policy. First, its historical roots are described and its current content analyzed.
Second, the inner structure of public policy is analyzed and three its components - policy analysis, policy studies and policy evaluation - are discussed. Third, policy analysis is contrasted with other approaches such policy research or public administration.
Last, the term policy is specified and classified.
