Successful Community Collaborations for Transition for Students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Abstrakt
The purpose of this presentation is to describe a community-based collaborative process to facilitate a person-centered and culturally sensitive approach to transition to employment or post-secondary education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The collaborators include universities, state departments, transition programs, employment and advocacy organizations.
The presenters will provide examples designed to improve the transition process in Minnesota and in the Czech Republic.
