Some Aspects of Gravity in Higher Dimensions and Kerr-Schild Spacetimes

Abstrakt

Higher dimensional gravity (HDG) has exhibited properties very different from that of four dimensions and hence has proved to be an exciting avenue of research. In the study of HDG, the Kerr-Schild (KS) class of spacetimes has played a pivotal role.

The presentation involved review of some aspects of HDG and KS spacetimes. Also, a preliminary result pertaining to the charged KS solutions in higher dimensions was discussed briefly.
