The aim of the paper is to present the theoretical basis and practical use of (Czech) folk songs in the integration of the educational content of primary and lower secondary education. The author openly formulates theses and antitheses in the established thematic area.
With concrete examples of existing music drama, she illustrates the possibilities of engaging folk songs in relation to Mathematics, Physics, the Czech language, Geography or Civics. She presents in more detail the script of the band songs Financial Literacy in Folk Song, which formed the core of the workshop at the conference.
At the end of the article, she names the conditions, the fulfillment of which allows the potential of folk songs in the interdisciplinary field to be fully exploited.
