This work on the topic of education of officials of territorial self-governing units of the Czech Republic provides a brief overview of the current form of the topic, taking into account the specific design of education in practice. The area of education of officials and its differences at individual levels of public administration, as well as differences between the education of state administration and self-government, can be absolutely crucial both for public administration reform and for the functioning or non-functioning of the relevant office.
Armstrong says that education can be seen as a continuous process that increases existing skills and also leads to the development of skills, knowledge and attitudes that prepare people for more challenging and larger tasks. The work is divided into two parts of essential content.
The first part deals with the theoretical definition of the issue in its current form and with the contribution of the authors' experience. The second part contains a proposal for a solution for the training of officials.
The work is written in descriptive form.
