Abstract
The school choice has been studied mainly in urban settings. We answer the question how often rural school is the second choice made by Czech urban parents.
This study is based on complete administrative microdata from the national registers between September 2016 and September 2019. We analyse 5413 cases when student transferred to rural or other small school during primary school attendance, in 47% a student moved from a school in a city to a school in a rural settlement.
