Publication

Abstract

In 2006, at the initiative of F. Uličný from Liptovské Mikuláš-Ploštín, who informed the Archaeological Institute of the Slovak Republic of the discovery of a significant clump of grease, considered to be the remains of a furnace, an investigative archaeological investigation was carried out (L.

Benediková and the staff of the AI of the Slovak Academy of Sciences) in the field Pod Rohačkou (western foothills Rohačky) and a subsequent additional geophysical survey and archaeological survey of the entire area at the western foothills of Rohačky in 2008 (J. Tirpák, L.

Benediková and the staff of AU SAS). Primary results were published in AVANS for the year 2006 (BENEDIKOVÁ 2008, 34-36), other material, as well as the results of the geophysical survey, are the subject of a more broadly conceived contribution submitted to the press (BENEDIKOVÁ et al., in press).

As part of this study, the obtained archaeozoological material was also processed.
