Abstract
The main topic of public debate was the reaction of Latin American governments and societies to the ongoing conflict. The discussion, however, placed the topic in the broader context of the current situation on the subcontinent.
The issues discussed included the Mexican presidential referendum, the preparation of a new Chilean constitution, the election campaign in Colombia, etc.
