Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present the results of a theoretical analysis of key characteristics of higher education of pre-primary and primary school teachers in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The paper mainly focuses on the analysis of the objectives, contents, structure, concepts and interdependence of teacher training, with an emphasis on the issue of transition between pre-primary and primary education.
