Cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA) is one of the most common food allergies in infants. Very often, early manifestations already appear in the first weeks or months of life.
The clinical manifestations of CMPA can be very diverse, affecting the skin, and the gastrointestinal, respiratory or circulatory systems. Allergic colitis with involvement of the digestive tract is one of the most common manifestations of infant CMPA.
Early diagnosis and setting up an adequate diet is very important to eliminate the symptoms and decrease the risk of impaired growth.
