The Role of Experiment in Physics Education: Attitudes of Upper Secondary School Students

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2022

Abstract

This contribution aims to introduce research on the attitudes of upper secondary school students to experiments in physics lessons. The research instrument has three logical parts - the metadata about respondents is the first one.

The second part is focused on describing the current state regarding experimental work in physics lessons at upper secondary schools. In the third part, respondents are asked about their view of the "ideal state" concerning experimenting in their physics lessons.

More than 1300 students participated in this research. The main goal of this study is to determine the perception of including experiments in physics lessons.
