Abstract
The lecture focused on the possibilities of supporting students with special needs at universities. In the introductory part, information was provided on how counseling services are organized at universities in the Czech Republic and the necessary system changes were identified in order to provide support to all students and teachers at universities who need it.
Furthermore, the status of a student with special needs, their identification, categorization and support measures during the admission process and during studies were presented. The third part of the contribution focused on the system of counseling services at Charles University, with a presentation of the PedF UK Academic Counseling Center, which was developed through the Operational Program Research, Development and Education
