Abstrakt
The text was published as an output of the seminar "New Definition of the Museum: Its Pros and Cons", which was based on the discussion on the topic of new definition of museum as a part of the international debate initiated by the International Council of Museums. The text summarized the historical development of the German museum culture with an emphasis on current trends and inspirations, e.g. public history, decolonization and environmental challenges atc.
