The aim of this article is to answer the weaknesses of official health promotion programs in the Czech Republic and to find groups of people who are more likely to be temporarily incapacitated for work. The analysis of socioeconomic and demographic factors affecting the unequal chances of being temporarily disabled for work in the Czech Republic is based on data from the labor force survey from 2009-2019.
The results are further compared with a similar analysis from 2002-2008 and with the results of a sample survey of the level of health in the Czech Republic. The results show that the structure of people on temporary incapacity for work has not changed significantly over time.
