The study deals with the topic of the activities of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and the Organistion of the Ukrainian Nationalists in the afterwar Czechoslovakia in 1945-1946. It analyses motivations and activities of these structures in Czechoslovakia (mostly in the form of so called propaganda raids), political-military reaction of Czechoslovakia and problems that the state had to deal with at its easternmost borders.
Moreover the study provides information on the topic of military cooperation among Czechoslovakia, Poland and the Soviet Union against the Ukrainian underground. Based on the available sources Czechoslovak, Polish and Ukrainian background, older interpretations of the topic are compared and criticised, mostly from the communist period of the Czechoslovak history.
