Abstract
The content of this contribution is an evaluation of the effects of the non-transposition of Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of persons who report violations of Union law into the Czech legal system, in particular the potential initiation of non-notification proceedings, which, in the event of non-transposition of the directive, the European Commission will initiate shortly after the transposition deadline, the direct effect of the directive is possible and, in the event of a violation of the rights of individuals, the state's responsibility for the damage caused will also arise.
