Organization of a congress panel (Congress of Historians in Ústí nad Labem) with a subsidy of 4 hours. Economic history is one of the most important subdisciplines of historical science.
Its growing importance is not only visible in the Czech context in the field of contemporary historiographical studies, but is also reflected in research results that are increasingly resonating in international discussions. The internal strength of economic history is now an important indicator of the successful development of historical scholarship as a whole.
The aim of the panel is both to present the possibilities for new directions and content development of economic history in the Czech environment and to present the starting points for pedagogical work. The panel will present the current research trends in the field of economic history and its pluralistic connection with disciplines close in content.
For example, the development of economic institutions and structures, mentalities, attitudes, symbols, communication, patterns of interpretation and identification, as well as the possibilities of debates on the interconnection of society, economy, culture and technology will be in the foreground. The demand for interdisciplinarity and comparability is a key perspective for these fields in their own further development.
