The monograph consists of three parts. The first part (pp. 11-60), authored by D.
Antalík, discusses biblical sapiential literature, its literary genres and its individual themes and analogies in extra-biblical wisdom. The author of the second part (pp. 61-140) is J.
Gondáš, who deals with conventionally and rarely used adverbs in the biblical text. The third part of the book (pp. 141-168) was written by D.
Antalík; it is devoted to the cosmic metaphors with which the Judeo-Christian canon, as well as the imagery of the surrounding religious cultures, describes God's heirophany.
