Evaluation is a necessary part of the pedagogical process. The current trend is to support formative assessment.
One option that responds to the usefulness of formative assessment is verbal assessment. More and more schools use it at the beginning of compulsory schooling.
Nevertheless, numerical classification is the reality of most schools. But what does the classification say? This article presents an analysis of the accuracy of classification in the 1st grade of elementary school.
