Abstract

The author deals with the role of three professors of forensic medicine, citizens of East Central European countries, allied with or occupied by Nazi Germany. F.

Hájek from the Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia, F. Šubík from Slovak Republic and M.A. Markov from Bulgaria were forced by similar means in different situations to take part in the Nazi 'International Medical Expert Commission' in Katyn to witness Soviet guilt for the massacre of Polish officers.

For their participation in Nazi propaganda campaign they were subjugated to different level of oppresssions after their countries fell in the sphere of the USSR after 1945.
