Publication at Third Faculty of Medicine |
2022

Abstract

Actinic keratosis is the most common skin precancerosis that occurs on skin damaged by chronic exposure to ultraviolet radiation, hence the synonym "solar keratosis". The range of treatment options is relatively strict, but in addition to surgery and cryotherapy, it includes topical pharmacotherapy.

The article summarizes the basic observations of the treatment options and focuses mainly on the benefits of 5-fluorouracil in 5% and the innovative 4% form of the cream.
