The article highlights how the ideological division of the world manifested itself in the second half of the 1980s. It publishes some StB documents where statements such as "negative phenomena (or activities)" appear, which are contrasted with the "new thinking" associated with reconstruction and glasnost.
Patterns of human behaviour that fall outside the Marxist-Leninist template are often typical of alternative culture, whether underground or punk. The article points out that while the underground was a thorn in the side of the regime, the situation was even more difficult for the proponents of the punk movement. It also discusses the concept of public and private property.
