Abstrakt
The humanities are undergoing a digital revolution, offering new possibilities for research and, at the same time, demanding the digitization of information and knowledge.
Within the framework of the historiography of literary translation, a doctoral project is being carried out with the aim of creating a database of translations of Czech literature into Spanish, which will be published online, freely accessible, updatable and subsequently extendable to other target languages. The project, which is being carried out at the Institute of Translatology of the University of Carolina, aims to question the methods of modern historiography, to respond to the need to digitize the study material, and finally to offer a practical digital tool to facilitate more effective translatological research.
The contribution will explain the motivation of the project, present the process and current status of the project with attention to methodological challenges and obstacles, and share preliminary results and expectations about the trajectories of Czech literature in Spanish translations within the Spanish-speaking territory.
