The following locations were selected for the creation of specialized maps:
- former St. Anna in the parish of Cheb
- "border" plots at the Cheb/Waldsassen and Pomezí nad Ohří/Hohenberg border crossings
- land in the vicinity of the vicarage in Domaslav in the Pilsen region
- the former village of Smrkovec (Schönficht)
The selection of locations took place with the aim of covering a wide range of variability of rural plots and the resulting different approaches to revitalization and management in the landscape. Saint Anna represents a combination of a vanished settlement and a "wild", post-Sudete landscape; border lands a bizarre, isolated patch of landscape near the highway/main road with "Sudeten brownfields". On the other hand, Domaslav is a functional cultural landscape, while Smrkovec is a typical defunct village in the mountainous locations of the Slavkovský forest and within a large-scale protected area (PLA).
