Abstract

During the archaeological research on Wenceslas Square, it was possible to collect a large number of finds of animal origin over the course of several years. In the osteological assemblages, the remains of farm animals and poultry are most often found, and to a lesser extent, the remains of wild mammals, birds or fish are present.

The bones prove the processing of meat and its consumption. The worked bones or horn protuberances have a connection with craft production.

Among the proven domesticated animals there are also horses, dogs and cats, which formed an integral part of the urban fauna.
