challenges that have not been faced in our region for generations or that are completely new and unprecedented. All of these challenges, and probably many more, will have to be reflected in social security systems, which will probably have to be substantially reformed if they are to make a significant contribution to cohesion in society.
The time is therefore right for a completely new, modern textbook on social security law, a field that is growing in importance and interacting increasingly with other fields - social policy, sociology, economics, actuarial science, etc. The book is divided into general and special sections and concludes with a discussion of selected cross-cutting themes and a reflection on the future development of the field.
All chapters are accompanied by graphs, explanatory diagrams or tables, and each text is interspersed with quotations from relevant literature and important case law. The reader is thus provided with a comprehensive, clear and comprehensible interpretation of social security law in context, and thus represents a valuable source of information not only for students of law and related disciplines, but also for legislators, corporate lawyers and other legal professions, or even social workers or some civil servants.
In this chapter of the publication doc. Štefko deals with the issue of social security financing.
